Safeguarding is the responsibility of every church member and is more than a policy and a series of training events and vetting processes. We adhere to the Diocesan guidelines for safeguarding. All members of the church wishing to serve on the Council or participate in leading worship are required to do the relevant training.
We recognise that, in the past, along with many institutions, the Church of England has failed to protect children and vulnerable adults. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all who come through our doors, regardless of age, physical ability, gender or sexual orientation.
Please see our latest published safeguarding policy.
