Becca has been admiring kiln-formed, or fused, glass for over 20 years. Aesthetically it’s vibrant, loaded with colour but with a simplicity that masks the complexity of the process. While absorbing the light around, it throws that same light back at the observer with a directness which challenges the viewer to stare back.
Having taken a number of glass-fusing courses over several years, Becca bought her own kiln and set up a studio in late 2019; she has been experimenting ever since. Her fused glass art reflects her analytical approach, fascination with straight lines and a desire to tame the tendency of hot flowing glass to subvert her best intentions. Pattern and structure are important features, along with the reactions made possible when the various chemical elements within different colours of glass interact.
All pendants are made of glass and may break if dropped. Pendants are made with a silver-plated bail but do not include a chain or necklace. Pendants cost £15 + £2 P&P.
Round bowls vary in size but are approximately 120 mm in diameter and 30 mm deep. Round bowls cost £19.50 each + £3.80 P&P.
Square bowls are between 145mm and 150mm in diameter. Square bowls cost £24 each + £3.80 P&P.
